Happy 21st Birthday to us! 26 Aug 2015
We celebrated our 21st birthday in style with a fun-packed party held at Cricket Green school on 11 July 2015. Our guests included current members, trustees, volunteers , charitable partners and even some old faces came along to join in the festivities. The mayor of Merton, councillor David Chung made a special appearance and praised our work "The charity not only provides services to our young people with learning disabilities, they provide a social environment where young people can have fun and socialise with their friends."
The party was a good opportunity to showcase our work, including our use of technology such as 3D printing and virtual reality headsets and to reflect on everything that we've achieved since The Squad started with a display looking back over our history. We also had lots of fun with a stilt-walking magician, tasty food and a wide range of stalls from penalty shoot outs and raffles to the very popular wet sponge throwing, James, our juniors club leader, was the target!
Everyone had a great time and we even featured in the Wimbledon Guardian - click here to see the full story.
