Rosy wins Merton Volunteering Award 03 Oct 2025

We are delighted to share that long-time Squad volunteer Rosy Price has been named Volunteer of the Year at the Merton Connected Civic Pride Volunteer Awards.

Rosy has been a dedicated member of our Thursday night Squad Club team for over seven years. Her energy, warmth and commitment have made her an essential part of creating the lively, inclusive and welcoming atmosphere that members know and love.

Each week Rosy helps provide a space where Squad members can choose what they want to do - whether that’s karaoke (a firm favourite!), games, making crafts and loads more. She often says she gains as much from volunteering as she gives, and that our Squad community has helped her step out of her comfort zone — including singing Christmas carols at a train station, loudly and out of tune, with fellow members!

Rosy’s award is also a recognition of the whole volunteer team, and of the dedication of our brilliant Keeley Reed, who leads our Juniors’ Club with such enthusiasm. Together, they make Squad Club the joyful, supportive space it is week in and week out.

We’re so proud of Rosy — and grateful to all our volunteers who make such a difference every week. Well done!
