For our second week of term at the Juniors Club we made cookies and flapjacks, played basketball in the main hall, and had an art session upstairs.
Our basketball session was broken up with drills and warm ups before playing a full game. It was great to see young people developing their skills and becoming better team players.
The cooking session was accessible for everyone involved. Not only was there a good ratio of volunteers to young people but because members were creating two cakes there was always something to be getting on with and this meant all young people were involved.
The members really enjoyed all the sessions and they were able to present their work to the rest of the group during our circle time at the end of the session. This makes for an extremely encouraging environment for our young members.
