The Squad

It’s volunteer’s week and we couldn’t think of a better opportunity to say thank you to our fabulous volunteers who give their time so generously to The Squad. On Thursday 6th June, three of our trustees, Ro, Hannah and Nick B, surprised the volunteers by attending the club night, armed with thank you certificates and treats. They extended a heart-felt thank you to them on behalf of the club members, club leaders and the Board. 

Thanks to our volunteers, the Juniors and Vets clubs held 42 sessions in 2018 and our members enjoyed a variety of activities from  dance workshops to bowling, cooking to craft making and much more!

.None of this would be possible without the volunteers who work tirelessly to support our members and ensure that they have a great time trying out new activities and going on outings to venues such as London Zoo and cinema visits. Our club leaders wanted to add their thanks:

These incredible people deserve this week to be recognised and celebrated for their dedication, commitment and desire to support the development of the young people and adults we work with. “Our dedicated volunteers are an integral part of the club nights. We are proud to benefit from a diverse group of helpers, who are committed to helping members to access a wide range of activities. They go above and beyond every week, spending huge amounts of time and effort in preparing for the club nights, bringing equipment in, or helping to take photos to document our work. We wouldn’t have a club without the volunteers and my gratitude goes to them unreservedly!”
