The Squad

We’re thrilled to announce that The Squad has been chosen as Orange’s new charity partner in the UK! Orange employees voted on a shortlist of nine charities and we won. This is the start of a year-long partnership with joint fundraising opportunities and the support of a renowned company.

Our Chair, Phil and trustee Sarah, were invited to a company-wide internal event during which the charity partner was announced. They gave a presentation about The Squad, showing the work we do, explained the significance of the partnership to The Squad and also shared thank you videos from our club members. This was very well-received and was followed-up with Orange’s first fundraiser on our behalf – a raffle which raised £450 -to which the management team generously contributed a further £500!
Christophe Naulleau, Chairman of OBSL and Orange Europe CSR VP, said: “We are delighted at Orange to have selected our new amazing Charity partner in the Squad. CSR plays a strong role in our Group’s strategy and we engage in active commitments across all of the 26 countries in which Orange is present. We hope that our relationship and fundraising efforts for the Squad will benefit its members throughout next year”

We're very excited to be working with an organisation that shares our core values of inclusion, equality and a passion for exploring digital inclusion as well. Orange’s support has the potential to be life changing for the Squad and our members. It will also give Orange employees an insight into what their support means to a small charitable organisation like ours."

Orange delivered a sack of Christmas gifts to our Christmas party last week and chocolates for our volunteers. We look forward to more news and events throughout 2022!
